I started a new writing project today. I just had to get going on something and my previous book project is stalled heavy in the water. As a general rule, I tend to either read books or write, but not at the same time. It goes to show how frustrated I am with my previous book project (pbp) that I bought a book from Book Bub.
It’s a historical fiction novel with rave reviews. I have read a lot of it, but have lost interest because of the topic. The main character is a well-known person from history who is just a vile person, but the book is written from his point of view and, of course, he doesn’t see himself as horrid. I don’t want to say too much, because it really is a good book and a great twist; it’s just not my cup of tea.
Well, reading the historical fiction got me to thinking about my family histories and how they nearly intertwine and touch on many great moments in history. So, my next work in progress (wip) is a historical fiction based on my ancient ancestors. Today, I created a timeline on an Excel spreadsheet. The timeline goes back to the year 0, but I think the book will focus mainly on the 1500 to 1800s. If I don’t get the book out, I think the timeline alone will be a great addition my family records.
Better get back to it! Enjoy the read TC Robinson
